Updating of Videos in Law Reserve Room
Jan 16th, 2012 by Shelley Brown
The Law Library is in the process of replacing VHS tapes from our reserve collection with DVDs.
As I am going through our holdings, I have discovered many gems tha I would like to share with our patrons, so have decided to do a monthly feature focusing on our collection.
The January focus is on Theatrical Films. Click here to go to a listing of just films & tv shows.
The titles also appear in our alphabetic listing.
Our collection includes films you would automatically assume we had (I am Sam) and ones that might catch you by surprise (March of the Penguins). We have older films (12 Angry Men from 1957) and newer ones (The Social Network from 2010). We have comedies (Legally Blonde), dramas (To Kill a Mockingbird), and musicals (Chicago)”. We have films from Michael Moore (Roger & Me) to Shakespeare (Merchant of Venice).
We either own ( or have on order) every film named in article “25 greatest law films ever made” from the ABA Journal, v.94, n.8 (Aug 2008). This article is available for UA faculty/staff/students here. A print copy is available in the Law Library at call number K 1 M55872.
