The Encana Room in the south east corner of the library’s first floor, is open once again with new furniture including study carrels, tables, and armchairs. This area is available for quiet study.

They’ve served us well for 38 years, but they’re coming down this weekend. There will be some noise and dust as the new window coverings are installed. Installation is scheduled to begin Friday and be finished by the end of the long weekend.

Asbestos abatement in the Law Library has been completed. Concrete cutting will be occurring in the library this Thursday, August 19. It is expected this will be a very noisy process that will affect all study and work space in the library. On this day you may wish to visit a different library on campus for a more suitable study or work space.

To increase study space for the coming year, shelving is scheduled to be removed from the main floor of the library on June 3 and/or 4. Significant noise is expected — use of a different study space is encouraged.
