Camp fYrefly

Camp fYrefly is Canada’s largest leadership retreat for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified, two-spirited, queer, and allied (LGBTTQ&A) youth. The camp, which was founded in 2004 by Dr. André P. Grace and Mr. Kristopher Wells,
is designed to help youth develop the leadership skills and resiliency necessary for them to become change agents in their schools, families, and communities.

Announcing the New Camp fYrefly Website!
In addition to the Gala Wine Tasting Fundraiser, we are pleased to announce the launch of our new Camp fYrefly website. The website contains photographs, articles, youth and donor testimonials, sponsorship information, and many other camp-related items. Please visit our new website and let us know what you think! www.fyrefly.ualberta.ca

We are also pleased to officially announce that this year’s camp will take place from August 2-5, 2007 at the Bennett Environmental Centre in Edmonton. Youth application packages will be available on our website within the next few weeks. Once again, we anticipate that the camp will be filled to its maximum capacity with youth from across Canada.

Thank you for becoming a “Friend of Camp fYrefly”. Without your support, Camp fYrefly would quite simply not exist!
